Pidrop7: A PICO-8 port of the classic mobile game Drop7!

Controls

• Move with arrow keys
• Drop discs/confirm with Z or X
• There are 3 difficulties to choose from. Each will affect the amount of discs you can drop before a new row emerges. For true enthusiasts, try the classic mode!

How to play

The game features a tutorial, but here are some basics: 

• Each turn, drop a disc from the top of the grid—it falls and stacks up.
• Discs have a number (1–7) or are blank gray ones.
• If a disc’s number matches how many discs are in its row or column, it goes poof and disappears! It also cracks any blank discs it touches.
• Crack a blank disc twice, and it turns into a numbered disc.
• After some drops, the green bar hits zero, and a row of blank discs pops up from the bottom.

Try to chain combos for a bigger score!

Here are some examples

• Vertical clear: Drop a 3 in a column with 2 discs—it makes 3 total, so it goes poof!

After the 3 clears, only a 6 is left.

• Horizontal clear: Drop a 3 next to a 4 and two 6s. The 4 clears first (4 discs in a row), then the 3 clears (3 discs left).

The 4 and 3 go poof, scoring points!

• Breaking gray discs: Drop a 1—it clears and cracks the gray disc below. Crack it twice, and it turns into a number!

The gray turns into a 6!

• Drop count: The green bar counts your drops. When it hits 0, a new row of gray discs rises from the bottom.

Drop this 2, the counter hits 0, and a new row appears!
